PROMSE's Virtual classroom is a way for teachers to to teach a class from anywhere in the world. The teacher's image is projected on the screen for these students to see. There are speakers so the students can hear the teacher speak. There is also a web camera and a microphone in the students room so the teacher can hear and see the students.

There is an on-site teacher at all of PROMISE's victual classrooms that assists the online teacher with class control and translation.

PROMISE uses this technology to teach students in rural Korea who not otherwise have adequate English education.

Good virtual classroom teacher are engaging and patient, because it takes time and energy to build an effective learning environment, but PROMISE has methodology training to assist aspiring teachers.
